As a wing back? I suppose it's not entirely absurd.

Article makes a valid point - they do need homegrown players.

They can wish in one hand and shit in the other.

And so can we.

We are not going to get 50 mil for someone that plays football like a fucking bull in a china shop!

Scoring goals is one thing but fuck me is he frustrating to watch in open play!

Re: Chelsea Want Antonio...???
As is already mentioned Chelsea (as do the other so called big clubs) barely reach or have enough homegrown players in there squads for Champions league, so any half decent English talent is going to be on there radar, and lets face it, its pretty thin on the ground right now!!!

20, 25 or even 30 million would be a small price to pay to help get the quota up, Antonio would be just a squad player and decent back up when required or for minor cup duty, not a first team regular, so hope that factor is what may stop him being tempted, although cant see the club entertaining it anyway, unless of course the player kicks up and hands in a transfer request...........

Re: Chelsea Want Antonio...???
As it it Chelsea they can have him for 250 000 000 plus Pedro and Willian

I presume he'd rank below Moses at Chelsea and end up on the bench for them. They would probably then have to loan him out to give him regular football.

Can't see the point in this.

Saw an interesting stat about Antonio yesterday, he is the third highest English goalscorer in 2016 behind Kane and Defoe. Not bad for someone who rarely played up front.

Re: Chelsea Want Antonio...???
When in recent years you take nearly £90M for Oscar and Ramires you can afford to shed a load on a homegrown player to meet the quota

They have alot of english youngsters though out on loan who are very impressive.....they realised years ago that bringing the youth through would save a fortune long term

tbh, I'd snap your hand off for £30 million for him.

Re: Chelsea Want Antonio...???
I'm in two minds, 30m+ is a lot of money, if invested well, but can we trust it to be invested well?

On the other had finding a player who has a knack of being in the right place and scoring goals is rather difficult!

I think on balance I'd rather keep hold of him.

Re: Chelsea Want Antonio...???
Agree Trev, cant think of anyone in our league that comes close to being able to play in a varierty of positions and have abilities similar to Antonio

Sven Roeder 10:00 Wed Jan 4
Re: Chelsea Want Antonio...???
Dele Alli 16 goals in his first 50 Premier League games
Michail Antonio 16 goals in his first 43 Premier League games

Not sure Adele has ever had to fill in at right back either
Too busy in the area diving or punching people

The Hammers 10:04 Wed Jan 4
Re: Chelsea Want Antonio...???
5 million + Batshuayi

Good deal?

Hammers

I would imagine some kind of swap deal like that might be the only way we would be interested, unless it was really stupid money. Saying that swap deals are very rare.

Sven Roeder 10:19 Wed Jan 4
Re: Chelsea Want Antonio...???
Forget that
How much do they want for Hazard and Kante?
Will throw in Adrian as a swap for Courtois
